Hello Robins 🙂

I hope you have all had a lovely week at school. You’ve all worked so hard as always! Today we had our Easter church service and our Easter hat parade. You were all so sensible in the church and you sang beautifully. Your Easter hats were wonderful and very creative! You all looked fantastic in them!

This week in our English lessons we looked at a new story called ‘The Sweetest Song’. I began by reading the story without revealing any illustrations and you had imagine what the setting of the story could be. Then we thought about the characters in the story and you wrote some descriptions of them. I spotted lots of capital letters and full stops- well done!

In Maths this week we have been learning all about capacity. We began by thinking about the words, full, nearly full, half full, nearly empty and empty. You had to draw some liquid in some containers to show me you understood each new word. Then we looked at some containers and used cups to see how much liquid they could all hold.

In Art this week we evaluated our Henry Moore sculptures and you thought about what you liked best about you work and what you might do differently next time. In Jigsaw this week we looked at how to cross a road safely. You all produced a wonderful badge with a colourful picture and message on all about crossing a road safely.

We have lots to look forward to in school next week as we will be doing lots of creative activities! I hope you are all as excited as I am!

Have a lovely weekend Robins and I look forward to seeing you on Monday.

Love Miss Spencer x
