Hello Robins!

I hope you have all enjoyed your week at school.

In Maths this week we looked at some addition and subtraction questions and refreshed ourselves on some of our learning. I wonder if you can have a go at these questions at home using counting on- 6 + 3=_____, 12 + 4 =_____, 24 + 6= ________, 31 + 4 = _______.

In English this week we became story tellers and we wrote our very own stories about going on holiday. I enjoyed reading them and I spotted some brilliant letter formation. Well done!

In Science this week we learnt all about seasonal change and looked closely at the signs of Spring. We discussed how during Spring time we see daffodils, chicks and sometimes a spot of rain, sun or wind. In Art this week we used plasticine to make our very own sculptures in the style of Henry Moore- I was very impressed with your creations.

We also had a lovely time visiting the library this week and we had the opportunity to swap our book for a new one. We can have a read of them all next week during Guided Reading.

You all really enjoyed our music lesson this week with Mrs Vaughn and you wowed us with your music skills! We used some pictures to help us play instruments to go with the story ‘The Three Little Pigs’ and the final piece sounded amazing. You all listened so carefully to each other- well done!

I hope you all have a wonderful and relaxing weekend Robins and I look forward to seeing you on Monday.

Love Miss Spencer x
