Swan Class Blog Spring 2 Week 3

Hello Swans,

Hope you are enjoying your weekend.

So, on Thursday we went to Selly Manor. The children learnt lots of weird and rather funny facts about how people used to live (I’m sure they have shared some of the ‘smelly’ facts that we found out!!) All of the children were very well behaved and extremely enthusiastic about our trip. Thank you Swans! Following on from our visit to Selly Manor, the children wrote a short narrative about what they had learnt using the conjunction ‘and.’

On Thursday afternoon, we went to visit our new library. The children were very excited to choose a selection of books to take out for our class library.

In Maths we have been using lots of language related to length and solving problems. In RE, we discussed the value of courage and in PSHE we thought about how we keep healthy.

Thank you for all of the different types of bread you provided. We enjoyed describing the texture and smell of each one…. and of course tasting them! Next week we will be designing and making our own bread.

See you tomorrow Swans,

love Miss Glover x
