Hello Robins!

Well done on completing your first week back of our Spring 2 term. As always you have worked incredibly hard and produced some wonderful learning.

On Monday we were introduced to our new topic all about Homes and focusing what homes were like in the past. We discussed the things we would like to find out during our topic, such as, ‘what were the kitchens like in the past?’ and ‘how are houses built?’.

In English this week we started reading a new story called ‘Anna Hibiscus’, all about a little girl who lives in Africa. This week we wrote some sentences all about Anna using an illustration and also wrote some sentences about the setting of the story. I am looking forward to reading more of the story to see what adventures Anna has!

In Maths this week we continued to look at numbers to 50, we focused on comparing and ordering numbers. I wonder if you can order these numbers from smallest to largest- 45, 9 and 26.

On Thursday next week we will be celebrating World Book Day and children are invited to come to school wearing a hat or head gear to represent a book character! It should be a brilliant day!

Thank you for a super week Robins. I hope you have a lovely weekend.

Love Miss Spencer x
