Hello Robins!

Well done on completing the first part of our Spring term in Year 1! You have all worked incredibly hard, you have achieved so much and done it all with a smile! You all should be very proud of yourselves and I am sure you are all ready for a lovely break.

I hope you have all enjoyed our topic on China as much as I have- we have done so much exciting learning! Today we wrote down some of the things we had learnt and spoke about our favourite parts of the topic. We all agreed that we loved the pop up restaurant on Thursday! It was great to have a go at making spring rolls and perform our song for your grown ups.

In Maths this week we have been looking at numbers to 50. We used our knowledge of place value to work out how many tens and ones were in numbers and we had a go at representing numbers by drawing them.

In English this week we read the Oliver Jeffers story ‘The Way Back Home’. We sequenced some pictures from the story and then retold the story in our own words. I loved reading them!

I hope you all have a lovely half term Robins. Thank you for all of your hard work this term 🙂

Love Miss Spencer x
