I would like to start by saying a massive well done to all of you for your hard work and effort in our class assembly on Thursday! You all spoke so clearly and I felt so proud to watch you all! A fantastic effort Swans! Our China topic comes to an end this week but it has been such an exciting topic to learn about. On Thursday we will be celebrating our China topic by having a Chinese pop up restaurant for all children and parents to enjoy. We look forward to seeing you all for a spring roll and prawn crackers.
In our English lessons this week we have been reading ‘How to Catch a Star’ by Oliver Jeffers. We have found out lots of interesting facts about stars and the children wrote instructions about how to catch a star. They all have such wonderful imaginations and they came up with lots of super ideas, including asking Santa to fly his sleigh to catch a star!
In geography, we have been using music to help us name the five oceans. I wonder if the children can tell you what they are?
In art, the children have painted their own willow pattern plates and in RE we have been learning about Jonah and the Whale.
See you all tomorrow for another exciting week in Swans!
