Robin class- Autumn 1 Week 6

Hello Robins 🙂

I hope you are all having lovely weekends! I just want to say a massive well done for this week, you all worked so hard and you made Mrs Barker and I very proud teachers!

At the start of the week we found some very mysterious footprints in the school grounds! We all did some wondering about what could have left them. Then on Thursday we read ‘How To Grow A Dinosaur’ and we agreed that a purple T-Rex left the footprints! You all wrote a letter to the local paper to explain what we had found out. Next week we will be doing some more exciting writing about dinosaurs.

In Maths this week I introduced you to the more than >, less than < and equal to = symbols. We used these symbols to help us compare numbers. This was very tricky maths and you all did very well. I have set some homework on Sumdog all about more than and less than so if you get a couple of minutes maybe you could have a go.

In our Art lesson this week we practised sketching and we used some special sketching pencils to sketch some dinosaurs. You all held your pencils well and did some brilliant shading. Well done Robins! In Computing you are all getting so confident with logging onto Purple Mash and this week we looked at creating a piece of work and saving it into our area.

Next week we have more exciting Maths and English to look forward to and we have some fun creative activities to get stuck into.

Enjoy the rest of your weekends and I look forward to seeing you all tomorrow.

Love Miss Spencer
