Robins- Autumn 1 Week 3

Hello Robins,

I hope you have all had a lovely weekend 🙂

We had a busy third week of term this week and we finished with our very own Wild Rumpus! We wrote invitations, made sparkly crowns and you did some great dancing in the hall! You all looked like you had great fun.

In Maths this week we sorted objects and I was so impressed by your thinking- we tackled some tricky reasoning and problem solving questions. Then we did some counting of objects and you showed me how carefully you count. In our writing lessons we wrote some instructions for how to make a boat, I was very impressed by your capital letters and full stops! Then you used junk modelling to make your own boats just like the one Max had in the story.

In RE this week we looked at how Christians celebrate the birth of a baby and we watched a clip of a Christening and learnt about what happens and the special objects and people who would be there. In our Jigsaw (PSHE) lessons we made our own class charter and you all decorated a hand print to show how you are going to demonstrate these things around school, for example, trying our best and showing respect.

We are starting a new story tomorrow (its one of my favourites!) and we will be doing some wonderful learning all about this new story.

See you all tomorrow!

Love Miss Spencer x
