Beech Learning Blog – Summer Week 5

By Jo Mountjoy on Sunday, May 20, 2018 in News. No Comments

Hello everyone and welcome to another Beech Learning Blog! Just a quick post to let you know what we’ve been up to this week.

In English, we have continued to look at our book, ’10 ways to save the world’, and have begun to design our own leaflets to inform people about the problems of plastic pollution. In Maths, we have been looking at all kinds of measure, from length to capacity and mass to temperature. If you want to practice your skills further, I have set a short Sumdog homework challenge for you to try!

In Science this week, we have been learning about food chains based on animals in different habitats. In DT, we began our summer project all about wheeled vehicle. And on Friday we all had a fabulous day celebrating the Royal Wedding! We made our own crowns, decorated an iced biscuit, and even had a go at recreating the wedding of Prince William and Princess Catherine right here in the classroom!

I hope you are all having a lovely weekend and enjoying the sunshine. See you tomorrow.
