I hope you all enjoyed your weekends.
This week you all became story tellers and retold the story of Hansel and Gretel. You all used traditional story language such as, once upon a time and happily ever after. I was so impressed with the amount you all wrote and the detail you included. I spotted lots of great descriptions of Hansel and Gretel and the delicious gingerbread house! Well done Robins! Next week we will be moving on to some non- fiction writing all about our trip to Selly Manor which is on Wednesday 14th March.
In Maths we explored numbers to 50 and looked at one more and one less. I wonder if you can answer these questions…
One more than-
One lesson than-
Then we moved onto comparing objects and numbers to 50. You all did brilliantly and used resources to prove your answers.
You all loved Science this week! You all used some materials to construct a new home for the witch from the story Hansel and Gretel. You had to make sure your house was strong enough to hold a 20g weight…and they all did! The houses you made were so inventive and you used the materials in some very creative ways. In our Jigsaw lesson we looked at making healthy choices, such as, eating fruit and vegetables, drinking water and getting enough sleep.
Thank you for another super week of learning Robins, as always if you have any traditional tales you would like to share with the class then you are more than welcome to do so.
Looking forward to seeing you all tomorrow.
