Hello everyone and welcome to the last learning blog of the half term! This is just a quick post this week to say that I hope you all have a lovely, well-earned rest over the half term holiday. The children have worked so hard over the last six weeks and can be really proud of their efforts. They should be especially proud of their amazing class assembly, they all do so well and I’m sure you’ll agree they were fantastic!
If you want to keep things ticking over during the holiday, we have sent home some extra reading books, and would continue to encourage some reading every day. The children have been practicing their mental maths targets this week, so a bit of maths homework could be to practice counting in 2s, 5s, 10s or 3s forwards and backwards, or maybe some times table practice if your child is ready! I’ll also be setting a Sumdog and Purple Mash activity as well. If your child is working on their writing, maybe keeping a short holiday diary would be useful, or completing some homework tasks in their homework book could be a place to start.
Enjoy the half term break, and I’ll see you all at the start of Spring 2!
Lots of Love Ms Mountjoy xx
