Beech Spring week 5

Hello everyone and welcome to another Beech Learning Blog! We’ve had a very busy week this week… read on to find out more!

We have to begin the blog post this week by recounting our amazing trip to Cadbury World on Wednesday! The children had a fabulous time, and learned lots about where chocolate originally came from, and how it is made in the factory today. There were too many highlights to list them all, but some of our favourites were playing in the play room, experiencing the 4D cinema and getting to eat our own little pot of melted chocolate! Mmm!

We also had another exciting day on Friday with our Chinese New Year celebrations. In the morning, a special visitor showed the children how to decorate a plate with a Chinese New Year theme. Then, the children learned about tangrams, the ancient Chinese shape puzzle, and also made their very own paper lanterns What a fantastic day we had!

The rest of the week wasn’t bad either! We learned some information about the main food groups in English and wrote a leaflet to give people advice on how to eat healthily. In Maths, we are continuing to work on our times tables, and have also begun to look at division. And in Science, we designed a poster to inform people about the five key conditions that animals and humans need to survive.

Phew! What a busy week that was! Only one more to go until half term… it comes around so quickly! Just a couple of notes for parents. Don’t forget our assembly On Wednesday, you should have received some information about this, let me know if you haven’t, also please can you bring in a carrier bag on Monday (or as soon as possible) so that your child can safely bring their beautifully decorated plate home.

Thanks for reading, have a lovely weekend, and see you all on Monday!

Lots of Love Ms Mountjoy 🙂
