We had a brilliant and busy week of learning in Robin class!
In our Maths lessons we looked at number bonds to ten and began by exploring number bonds to ten using counters. Then we answered some tricky questions about our number bonds and you used your problem solving skills. I was very impressed! Can you think of two numbers that make ten?
In our English lessons we followed a set of instructions to make a toy spinner and we concentrated on understanding what we had read. We also focused on using capital letters and full stops in our writing- I spotted lots of them! We also used our phonic cards to help us spell words correctly using the correct digraphs.
On Friday we had a very exciting day as we visited Sudbury Hall. You should all be so proud of yourselves (I know I am) because you behaved beautifully and we all had a wonderful day. You all loved looking at and learning facts about toys from the past. Can you remember what your favourite part of the trip was?
In the afternoons we had a Science lesson looking at different wild and garden flowers and you had to sort them into two groups. Can you remember whether a sunflower was a wild or garden flower? What about a dandelion?
Thank you for a super week of learning and I will see you all tomorrow where we will be doing some more exciting lessons linked to our topic on toys and more learning about addition in Maths.
Love Miss Spencer
