Robin class- Autumn 1 Week 1

By Hannah Spencer on Sunday, September 10, 2017 in Year 1. 4 Comments

Hello Robin class,

I have really enjoyed our first week together in Year 1 and it has been wonderful meeting you all. I hope you have enjoyed your first week back too. Can you remember what your favourite thing about the week was? Maybe it was doing some counting, writing in your new handwriting books or reading your new books.

This week we have done some really exciting learning already; you have all worked your socks off and been so resilient. We did some number writing, letter formation, we wrote about our Summer holidays, we read our new reading books and we made some Robins to hang around the classroom. You have all shown our school values this week and I have caught so many of you showing our value of friendship and respect- well done everyone!

Next week we are going to be continuing with some wonderful learning and you are going to be introduced to a new story which I think you will all love! We have also got our first PE lesson tomorrow with Mr Coley which is very exciting.

Our author of the half term is Dr Seuss so we are going to continue reading some of his exciting stories. If you have any Dr Seuss books at home that you would like to share with the class then you are more than welcome to bring them in.

I hope you have all had lovely weekends.

Love Miss Spencer x

This is such lovely feedback for the children. So many exciting things done in the first week and so much more to experiences to follow throughout their school years.
