Hello wonderful Robins,

I hope you have all had a lovely weekend and are ready for another great week of learning!

The week started in a very fun way with an amazing Sports Day. You all showed such determination and were fabulous team players; I am very proud of you all!

This week in Maths we described, compared, measured and recorded length, height and weight. We did lots of activities, such as measuring how far we could jump, how high we could jump and we measured the weight of some items in the classroom. You all did some wonderful learning and I was very impressed with how accurately you measured. Can you remember what we weighed in? Can you remember what we measured length and height in?

In Literacy you wrote some very exciting setting descriptions of a pirate island and you all used some very adventurous vocabulary, such as, ‘tall, swaying trees and gurgling, bubbling river’- I was very impressed! I also spotted lots of full stops, finger spaces and capital letters.

In our Geography lesson you all created a pirate map with some interesting places, such as caves, waterfalls and rickety bridges, you all used your great imagination- they even had compasses and keys! In our Art lessons we continued creating and designing our pirate flags ready for painting this week- they are going to look brilliant.

See you all tomorrow for another fantastic week.

Love Miss Spencer x
