Hello everyone,

Welcome to this week’s learning blog. The children have been super busy as always so come and read all about this week’s learning journey…

In English, the classroom became a polling station and the votes were cast in to the ballot box in secret to see if Mary Poppins was a good film. (The results were 19 said yes and 11 said no!) The children put up some great persuasive arguments and thank you to William for his super campaign posters! We also wrote our own further adventure of Mary Poppins stories and the children enthusiastically wrote some fabulous stories using many of the stories well known phrases and songs. They are really working hard in their new junior books.

In maths we continued to revise different concepts and this week focused on 2D and 3D shape, co-ordinates, compass points and odd and even numbers. The children really loved using real compasses and writing their own routes.

In the afternoons we learnt all about the 99 names for Allah in RE, made our own timeline in Jigsaw, and started to make a sound story in Music based in the Wizard Of Oz.

Next week, children we will be learning all about the clothes worn by rich and poor children Victorian/ Edwardian ready to help us plan our costumes for the play. Can you find out what they wore? Also we sent home song words this week so get singing !

Finally the children got the chance this week to have golden time in there new junior classes and to make some new friends. It was lovely to watch them mixing happily together and this continued into playtime. Hopefully this has made them a little less anxious about visiting next week.

Have a good weekend,

Love Mrs Barlow xx

      Hello Noah
I hope you enjoyed Sports Day and I thought it was lots of fun. I was really proud of how hard you all worked. My favourite thing was the Tug of War. I am glad you are enjoying visiting the juniors and will miss you too but I know we can wave everyday when we all come in at playtime. Well done for practising your songs.
