Ladybirds blog – Summer 2 Week 2

By Beth Reid on Saturday, June 24, 2017 in Reception. No Comments

Hi Ladybirds!!! What a productive week! We have done some very good learning this week. Ladybirds have had a go adding and subtracting using their own preferred methods. Children have showed great confidence as to why they have chosen a certain method. It is lovely to see them so confident about their own learning. They have also learnt a new word ‘symmetry’. What does symmetrical mean? Children are starting to recognise different lines of symmetry. We have done this by looking at different mini-beasts.

You were fantastic for our class photographs on Thursday, you all behaved beautifully and I cannot wait to see our photo when it’s printed.

Your fact finding mission about mini beasts continues this week. You have also been working in your new Year 1 books too! How grown up…remember to keep your handwriting neat and tidy.

Mrs Reid, 🙂
